Black Lives Matter is movement started to protest against police brutality against the African Americans in the United States. After the death of George Floyd, a man who was killed while at the hands of the police, protests and riots have started in more attempts to stop what has been happening. Defunding the Police vs Police Reform

Police reform involves beginning transparency in how police departments function. Many politicians are calling for police reform, meanwhile many protesters are chanting, “NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE, DEFUND THE POLICE!”

My page is about understanding the social inequalities of shaker heights. Holistically, shaker heights succeeds national standards in

average income, health insurance, and poverty percentage. However, this affluence does not apply to all of our community. IN my

project I use public 202 cencus data to find this divide. I also investigate the history of shaker heights to understand why this has

happened.
