Transgender Awareness Week

Transgender awareness week occurs between November 13-19 each year. It originated. Transgender Awareness Week is a week aimed at educating the greater community on trans stories and bringing awareness to the issues that trans people face. Transgender awareness week leads up to The transgender day of Remembrance which is a day to commemorate and remember those who are victims of transphobia and anti-trans violence. A little background on trans people, transgender is an umbrella term used to describe anyone “whose gender identity differs from the gender they were assigned at birth.
