In middle school, Manasvi Katuri experienced first-hand the ease with which students could fall victim to societal beauty standards. It seemed that each of her peers had a clear idea of what it meant to have a “perfect” body, and there was constant pressure to conform to toxic, appearance-driven stereotypes.
